US President Barack Obama has just joined twitter and the White House has confirmed that.

within only 30 minutes Obama attracted 100,000 followers. And in few hours he had attracted over a million followers, including Bill Clinton, George Bush.

Here is Obama first tweet: “Hello, Twitter! It’s Barack. Really! Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account”

The account @BarackObama was launched in 2007, and the president initials tweets he writes himself with the letters BO.
