Introduction to computerized database

A computerized database contain well organized electronic files that is stored in a location that is designed and modeled to allow easy storage and retrieval of data by the user. . There are two basic types of databases: Indexes or bibliographic databases.

What is index database?

An index is a copy of selected columns of data from a table that can be searched so productivity that  contain  a low-level disk block address  or direct link to the complete row of data.

A full text database  is a database that include the complete text of books, journals, dissertations. Full-text’ means that the entire journal article is available.

A non-full-text database is one which provides citations and sometimes abstracts to articles, but not to the full text.
